Voice are the Picker Pals partners in Ireland and have facilitated the roll-out of the programme since 2019. VOICE is a member-based Irish environmental charity that empowers individuals and local communities to take positive action to conserve our natural resources. VOICE advocates for the government and the corporate sector to adopt environmentally responsible behaviours, and for the development of strong national policies on waste and water issues.

The Rediscover Fashion team has been working with Picker Pals to create their Picker Pack bags for schools. The Rediscover Fashion team made the Picker Pack bags from discarded boat sails. The sails are an ideal material to use for this project as it is strong and durable. Reusing the sails and making them into the bags has prevented the material from being sent to landfill.

Our supporters’ own words speak most powerfully of their
reasons for enabling Picker Pals to reach their goals…
‘We truly believe in the power of education to transform lives, inspire progress, and make a difference in society. Picker Pals shares that vision, by creating engaging learning resources that raise awareness of the very real environmental issues facing our world today, and encouraging people to take action. We’re excited to ‘be a pal,’ and support this valuable initiative.’
Christine Richardson
Corporate Communications, Oxford University Press
“As part of our global CSR Programme, ESW is committed to making a positive difference in the communities in which we live and work. Our support for Picker Pals is aligned to this objective in terms of both community support for our schools but more broadly to empowering meaningful change to the damage caused by litter.”
John Bell
Training Coordinator of Enterprise Learning Solutions, ESW
"I am delighted to endorse Picker Pals. We introduced the initiative into 20 schools in Fingal. The children and their families were so excited to take part. It is a very clever model for teaching civic pride, really good for getting families engaged in their community and helping out to tackle littering."
Sinead Fox
Environmental Awareness Officer, Fingal County

Picker Pals is grateful to the Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications.

We are also grateful to receive funding from the following local authorities.
