Our founder has known Conor Gallagher of Gallagher Quigley Estate Agents since they were teenagers riding bicycles up and down the hills of Howth many moons ago. What’s more, their sons, Kai and Louis were great friends at the Burrow School where Picker Pals first piloted back in 2019. So it was with pleasure that Patrick went, cap in hand to seek funds to roll out Picker Pals.
Conor could immediately understand the vision and as a business with deep roots in the community it made sense to support the efforts of the children in stewarding their local neighbourhoods. They were our very first sponsor and their generous donation got Picker Pals up and running.
It wasn’t just the financial support but the boost to our confidence this support gave us. Picker Pals will always be grateful to Conor and the team for giving us the push that took us from 1 to 30 classrooms. That momentum is with us still.
“The decision for us to support the Picker Pals project was an easy one. Picker Pals’ crusade to educate children and indeed us adults about the dangers of single use plastics and litter is so pure, I felt it was a duty to support the initiative. Gallagher Quigley are proud to be associated with Picker Pals and if we have contributed in a small way to help you on your way then that lifts us all. Picker Pals are proof that there is no greater investment than in the education of our children.”
